Proper Injection Technique

  • Injecting post workout will minimise discomfort during training session;
  • Oil based Injectables can be mixed in one syringe;
  • Always Inject at 90 degrees into the muscle;
  • Always inject deep into the muscle belly;
  • Regularly rotate injection sites;
  • Always sanitise/clean the injection site prior to injecting;
  • Always use fresh needles, syringes;
  • Always clean the top of multi use ampoules before use;
  • Use 26 gauge needle for muscles such as quadriceps, lats and deltoids and 22 gauge for glutes;
  • Whenever possible use pharmaceutical grade injectables;
  • Gently rub the injection site after injecting.

Following these simple techniques will eliminate complications and maximise the absorption of the injectable compounds.
